Tanning refers to the process of tanning raw hides into leather. The hair and non-collagen fibers are removed, and the collagen fibers in the dermis are appropriately loosened, fixed and strengthened, and then a series of chemical (including biochemical) and mechanical treatments such as finishing (treatment) are applied. The tanning process is usually divided into three stages: preparation, tanning and finishing. The most used equipment in the tanning process is the drum. Soaking, liming, depilation, softening, pickling, tanning, dyeing, emulsion oiling and other processes are all completed in the drum. The mechanical action of the drum promotes various chemicals. The uniform penetration of the material completes the chemical effect of the preparation on the skin.

The liquid inside the drum is totally separated with the heating medium in the interlayer of the drum so that the drum can be heated and maintained at a temperature when it is not running it is especially suitable for test at low ratio of liquids. All test data are accurate. The inside of the drum can be cleaned thoroughly so that there will be no any residual liquid and west residue remained. As a result of that, color spot or chromatic difference can be eliminated completely.
